Overlake School Technology and Language Center was built in 2010 by Bayley Construction and SS Framing. Matheus Lumber delivered certified lumber for the LEED for school construction project which rests on 75 acres in Redmond, WA.
The new 14,000 square foot building replaces the old hay barn and is now complete. Photovoltaic roof top panels generate solar power for this environmental friendly school. A green roof was also planted on the bridge that connects the new building to the existing building.
Overlake school has about 530 students from grades 5-12, where the average class size is only 14, and the student ratio is 9:1.
